For quite some time, the Nintendo Wii has stood alone without a lot of competition; with the conception of the Xbox 360, Xbox Kinect motion sensing device, that is all about to change. While the Wii has been around for quite some time now, the Kinect will definitely offer Xbox players many benefits and perhaps even give the Wii’s motion sensing controller a run for its money.

Those individuals familiar with both gaming systems would most likely praise the Xbox 360 for asserting its dominance over the Wii where graphics processing muscle is concerned. The Nintendo Wii has actually never maintained that it could even compare to the Xbox 360 system, and has chosen to market games that appeal to the casual gamer. Microsoft has entered into unexplored territory with this new device, even with their continuing list of awesome games. The base of Microsoft’s 360 games is designed with the hardcore role player in mind and hopes that the Kinect games will draw in a more diverse collection of game fans. Games like Kinectimals and Kinect Adventures will appeal to young and old alike. Microsoft is not above bragging about fact that they have duplicated the Wii’s motion sensing apparatus and is proud that their product is much more complete, right from the beginning, than their predecessor’s product, which relied on many add on products, such as the Wii Fit.

It is clear that Microsoft is hoping to draw many Nintendo fans over. This can be easily seen by looking at the product line that Microsoft is offering. Fitness Evolved is a game set for the new Kinect games device, which will heavily compete with the Wii Fit product. There will also be a host of other games that will work with the Xbox Kinect system, such as a Biggest Loser game and also a game called Zumba Fitness, both dedicated to those who want to stay fit and lose weight. Game clones are not limited to the fitness world and Microsoft is offering many games similar to those that can be found on the Wii system.

While Nintendo continually stands out as a trendsetter in the game world, they have had to take a backseat to other game systems producers in the last few years, when it comes to the graphics superiority and processing power associated with their systems. Microsoft hopes that their Kinect system device will leave its users confused as to who the true motion sensing guru really is.

The Kinect device is set to go into circulation in November and Microsoft hopes their new “toy” will be all the rage. While Nintendo most likely hopes that the device will not be able to compare with what they already offer the gaming world. While t is still far too early to know whether this device can woo Wii gamers over to the world of Xbox; however, it certainly looks like Microsoft is ready to give Nintendo a run for their money.
